University of Florida and Walt Disney World® Resort Academic Exchange Experience
The University of Florida’s (UF) Eric Friedheim Tourism Institute (EFTI) and Department of Tourism, Recreation and Sport Management (TRSM) in conjunction with Walt Disney World Resort (WDW) are offering a six-month academic exchange experience program for international students enrolled in tourism, hospitality, marketing, business or other related fields at UF’s international partner universities in Canada. Students will take 4 classes, earn 12 credits, and earn a certificate in U.S. Resort and Destination Management from the University of Florida while participating in academic training and gaining valuable work experience at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Learn about tourism, hospitality, destination and event management in a fun and exciting environment from leading professors and practitioners from two of the world’s finest institutions- UF and Walt Disney World!
With 16 faculty members, five research centers/labs, and hundreds of publications every year, the Department of Tourism, Recreation and Sport Management at UF offers the highest quality of education to prepare for management and leadership positions inside and outside of the travel and tourism industry.
