May 8 Resort & Destination Development and Lodging Operations & Management course begins online
June 29 Arrival in Gainesville, Florida; dormitory check-in
June 30 Orientation at the University of Florida; lectures and on-campus activities begin
July 8 & 9 Site visits in northern and central Florida
July 10 Arrival and check-in at Walt Disney World® Resort
July 12-13 Orientation at Walt Disney World Resort
July 14 Disney Traditions course*; first day of employment
August 4 Completion of Resort & Destination Development & Lodging Operations and Management courses
August 21-December 11 Selected Course and Internship in Leisure Services to be completed on the Disney campus and online
December 11 Project Presentations and Luncheon
December 21 Last Day of Disney Program / Check-Out day

2018 Cohort Schedule


For the 2018 cohort, the following schedule will apply:

March 5-6 Interviews conducted in Toronto, Canada
May 14 LEI 4905 Resort & Destination Development and HFT 3253 Lodging Operations & Management courses begin online
June 28 Arrival in Gainesville, Florida; dormitory check-in
June 29 Orientation at the University of Florida; lectures and on-campus activities begin
July 7-8 Site visits in northern and central Florida
July 9 Arrival and check-in at Walt Disney World® Resort
July 11-12 Orientation at Walt Disney World Resort
July 13 Disney Traditions course*; first day of employment
August 10 Completion of Resort & Destination Development and Lodging Operations & Management courses
August 22-                          December 10 LEI 4940 Internship in Leisure Services and LEI 4905 Disney International Exchange Course to be completed on the Disney campus and online
December 10 Project Presentations and Luncheon
December 20 Last Day of Disney Program and check-out day
